I remember always going to see Henry Rollins do his spoken word tours and being inspired about his stories and life motto. Travel the world, be creative- play music, draw or paint. Episode 43 Please welcome to the podcast from Newcastle Australia the very talented musician Amy Vee. Amy has won numerous awards, 2005 Oz Music Artist of the Year, 2009 ABC Music Award. She has featured in the play Buskers and Angels which Australian Icon Jon English wrote and in January 2021 Amy will perform in the musical Chess. Amy has toured in the U.K and USA. In 2019 Amy recorded her album Same Skin. The song you heard at the start of the podcast was her new single "Forget Me" @amyveemusic amyvee.com
Here we spoke about trying to juggle family life, music and the pandemic, Newcastle Music Scene, growing up in Tamworth, her early bands, playing online, working with Jon English, working in promoting mental health awareness and being a board member for Listen Up Music, her new album and single and some amazing road stories.
