Thank you for listening to the podcast. I had the idea for the podcast a while ago to talk to people who I have met in my travels, about their inspiring and amazing lives. I remember always going to see Henry Rollins do his spoken word tours and being inspired about his stories and life motto. Travel the world, be creative- play music, draw or paint. It's an absolute honour and privilege to welcome to the podcast originally from Red Dear Canada now residing in Shanghai China, Grant Oh Buchwald. I sat down with Grant after he gave me a guided tour of the Pearl and 2 shows and to be honest we could have talked for hours. Grant or "Papa G" is the owner and co-ordinator of the Pearl Theatre, one of the most popular entertainment venues in Shanghai. The Pearl showcases Queen , Ac Dc, ABBA, Linkin Park Tribute shows as well as Grunge acoustic night , Burlesque shows, Drag shows, Magic Mike and movie nights. @thepearlshanghai
Grant has worked with MTV Japan and was in charge of managing some of the biggest names in rock while they toured Japan. He tells some amazing stories about The Rolling Stones, Brian May, Kiss, Green Day, Lemmy and having dinner with Ozzy Osbourne which still makes me laugh.
He has also worked with IBM and was the photographer for Ferrari.
